If you’re migrating from MetaGrid Classic to MetaGrid Pro, you can easily transfer your content by exporting entire viewsets. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Export your viewset in MetaGrid Classic. Open MetaGrid Classic on your device and export the desired viewset (e.g., for Cubase) using the export option provided in MetaGrid Classic.

Step 2: Save the file to the MetaGrid Pro folder. Place the exported file in iCloud Drive > MetaGrid Pro > Workspaces. This ensures MetaGrid Pro can locate your file for import.

Step 3: Set up the profile in MetaGrid Pro. Open MetaGrid Pro on your iPad or Mac and navigate to the Content Manager from the app’s main menu. If you already have a profile for the software (e.g., Cubase), skip to Step 4. Otherwise, create a new profile for your software: open the software on your Mac or Windows device and tap the plus icon in the Profiles section of the Content Manager. A new profile will be created, ready for importing viewsets.

Step 4: Import the viewset. In the Content Manager, go to the Workspace area of the profile. Tap the Import icon and select the exported viewset file from MetaGrid Classic. The workspace will now be imported into the selected profile.

Step 5: Activate the imported workspace. Locate the imported workspace in the Workspace area. Right-swipe on the workspace and select Activate.

Your viewset is now successfully transferred and ready to use in MetaGrid Pro. Only entire viewsets can be transferred from MetaGrid Classic to MetaGrid Pro.
