Profiles in MetaGrid Pro correspond to the applications on your computer that you want to control. MetaGrid Pro dynamically switches profiles based on the application currently in focus, ensuring seamless integration with your workflow.
If a preset profile exists for the application, MetaGrid Pro will alert you, offering the option to create a profile with the preset content. If no preset is available, follow these steps to create a custom profile:
How to create a profile:
Step 1: Access the Content Manager
- Open MetaGrid Pro.
- Tap the grid name in the top bar and select Content Manager.
- Alternatively, double-tap the profile/grid name to open the Content Manager directly.
Step 2: Open the Target Application
- Launch the application on your computer that you want to control with MetaGrid Pro.
- This ensures the profile can automatically link to the correct app name.
Step 3: Create a New Profile
- In the Profile area of the Content Manager, tap New.
- In the Create New Profile dialog:
- Select the name of the application currently in focus (this ensures accurate linking).
- Alternatively, create a custom profile by manually entering a name and choosing an icon.
Step 4: Ensure the Profile Name Matches the Application
MetaGrid Pro switches profiles based on the application name. To ensure smooth functionality:
- If you’re creating a profile for the application in focus, the name will automatically match.
- If you create a custom profile, make sure the profile name matches the application’s name exactly.
- You can edit the profile name later if needed.
